Our client is a leading pharmaceutical manufacturer based in North London, seeking a skilled Production Supervisor to oversee their production processes. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of the production unit and maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Position Overview

The Production Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the production unit, ensuring that all processes run smoothly, efficiently, and in compliance with GMP and GDP guidelines. This role is essential in maintaining the company's commitment to providing high-quality pharmaceutical products to the NHS and private sector.

Responsibilities

  • Review production schedules and plan weekly batches

  • Provide regular staff training and plan staff rotas

  • Ensure improvements to processes, safety, efficiency, and quality

  • Liaise with purchasing regarding delays and ensure correct stock picking

  • Raise AOs and review planned production

  • Ensure a safe work environment and smooth running of the production unit

  • Liaise with other departments for improvements and implement compliance

Requirements

  • Understanding of GMP and / or GDP guidelines

  • Previous production experience within a pharmaceutical business

  • Knowledge of 5S/lean sigma (desirable)

  • Ability to provide departmental training on processes and product knowledge

  • Strong communication and leadership skills

  • Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
